GLOBAL VILLAGE
6 Dibond print, 80 cm x 112 cm, wood structure, 2019
In the streets of the Hauts du Crey subdivision (Doubs, 25), the small huts for children merge with the garden sheds and get lost between the houses. Colorimetric ranges, materials, similar and miniature objects reflect the pursuit of a preconceived ideal, encouraged by the lack of individuality. Each space is carefully delimited and constrained in an area, fenced, fenced, parked... where each little parcel of conventional happiness counts and must be contained. In this conditioning of intimacy, life can only be read through a few signals that show through within deserted spaces, deserted, inhabited by a chilling silence. Is this barely born village already dead?
